About
I have had a passion for music since I was a boy. I grew up on a Cattle Ranch in Soledad, CA and my family likes to reminisce about how I used to go around the house as a young boy singing “All I want to do is rock-n-roll!” I started playing the guitar when I was 10 and was forced (or strongly encouraged I should say) to start singing at church when I was in high school. I really started leading worship when I got to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, CA and got involved with Cru. I was blessed to be discipled and get a chance to play with some amazing people during that time. After college I married my amazing wife Michelle and we moved to Ventura to start our life together. We started attending Calvary Chapel Oxnard, CA in 2005; I started working there full time in 2007 and was ordained as the Worship Pastor. God has since called my family up to Shoreline Calvary Chapel in Morro Bay, CA where I serve as the Associate Pastor. I started recording original songs in college and realized very quickly that I loved it. There is something about a song that is very unique. It's taking something that doesn’t exist and creating it out of nothing. Once it is created it is still intangible and passing. When you're done singing it...it is gone. Recording is taking that something that is passing into something concrete and permanent, and this entire process excites my whole being. I think it's because I can relate to God through it....as a Creator. Being able to couple this with worship songs that glorify God makes it even better. I hope as you listen that this music will help draw your eyes to Jesus and encourage you in your daily life.
